W XXIV (CEMENT)
ca. 140 x 130 x 1 cm + ca. 5 kg wool
wool: Rauhwolliges Pommersches Landschaf (Germany) and wool from the Ukraine, Carpathian sheep

The objects from the CEMENT series tell a multi-layered story about the place of my childhood (pseudo-moulds, concrete casts), about my inner landscapes, about the material I have been using for over a dozen years – wool. I prepared them especially for the CEMENT exhibition using the felting method, using wool obtained and carded locally in Germany, and the breed of sheep from which the wool comes is endangered.
