Kata Adamek
explores individual and collective identity shaped by the Eastern European history of her ancestors. In her art, she uses old craft techniques, understood as a continuation of our shared cultural heritage, such as felting, splicing and spinning. For over a decade, wool has been the main material in her work.
She herself describes her works metaphorically as ‘reflections’ that come from beyond the past and are reflected in the present.
